James Thad Martin, III affectionately known as "Baby James" was born to the late, James Thad Martin, Sr., and Sheila Elizabeth Martin on Thursday, February 19, 1987 in Washington, DC.

James was educated in the DC public School System. He attended Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, Charles Hart Middle School and Frank W. Ballou Senior High School, where he was Bold Courageous and Outstanding!!!  He was extremely talented. Throughout his childhood he was very athletic. He enjoyed playing all types of sports and staying physically active. In high school he was the star running back. He played several different positions including middle linebacker and kick returner to name a few. He played a big part in assisting his team in wining many victories against the opponent every time his feet touched the field.

James worked as a life guard for DC Parks and recreation. He enjoyed hanging out with his peers at the Number 11 Boys and Girls Club on Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave., He also loved to eat! His favorite food was his aunts' delicious macaroni and cheese, he couldn't get enough of it!

James attended St. Paul Church of God in Jesus Christ, where he served on the usher board and sung in the young choir.

James leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Amour Jamese Elizabeth Clark; two brothers, Murdock Hill and Michael C. Thompson, Jr; sister, Shelly Harris; nephews, Ralpheal, Davon, Ailonzo, Malik, Dominic, Michael, III, Tristian and Demetrius; nieces, Jasmine, Jazlyn, Sariha, Janea, India, Chayla, Ashley, Karin, Kelli, Morgan, Aysiah; three aunts, Connie Spriggs, Patricia Monrina and Cecelia Branch; extended family in Baltimore, MD; and a host of other relatives and friends.
